It has been an intense, exhaustive, but exciting 12 months of activity and governance development for the FWNSWML. This 12 month report demonstrates significant progress against the Medicare Local Strategic Objectives and Key reporting areas, driven by a highly motivated and engaged workforce, a small but determined team of executive staff and a skills-based Board operating in one of the most remote and challenging catchments within NSW and Australia. read more

Our main priority is the development and delivery of effective primary health care services to some of the most isolated and disadvantaged communities of NSW. We will work to capitalise on the underlying collective healthcare capacity of General Practice services and strengthen health partnerships with prominent Aboriginal Health Services, Local Health Districts and other health organisations in our region.
Taking in the largest geographical area of all NSW Medicare Local organisations, we are leading the Commonwealth's commitment to delivering better access and improved health outcomes for communities in the Outback. Our work enhances the management and treatment of disease and builds greater capacity to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of individuals and the resilience of our communities.
